I discovered Lovecraft in high school like so many other people. It seems that the idea of an indifferent and even hostile universe in which humans are a tiny speck was quite appealing to adolescent me.
Of all the paperbacks in my collection the Lovecraft covers are my some of my absolute favorites. This one is no exception. It is more abstract than others but that was the style back in 1957. I've always liked the rough, cut-out look of this style which I'm sure has a name but I have no clue what it might be.
